TruckRods is a concept or mind set. Peterbilt of Joplin opened for business in 1988 and moved to our current location in 1989, when we opened our body shop. We operated as a normal Peterbilt Dealership with a normal body shop for years and then began to do custom work. As our customer base grew, so did the concepts and ideas that our customers requested. By fulfilling these requests our skill level increased and we gained a reputation that nothing was out of the question. Then came TruckRods, a point of veiw that simply put "if you wanted something done that no one had come up with or was brave enough to attempt, the guys at TruckRods can handle it". We have one of the largest parts inventories in the midwest, a world renowned body shop and one of the best service departments in the country. We are a Peterbilt dealership, offering new and used trucks sales as well as used trailers and the occasional cool car for sale. Peterbilt of Joplin was voted number one for customer satisfaction out of all 228 Peterbilt dealers in the country in 2004 and we were named Midwest Dealer of the year for 2005 and North American Peterbilt Dealer of the Year for 2006 by Peterbilt Motors. We are owned by The Larson Group which also own and operate six other Peterbilt dealerships and five John Deere dealerships.
